Mindfulness

Mindfulness help in Boca Raton, Boynton Beach & Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Mindfulness is a perspective and a way of life that takes time to learn. It can also be combined with cognitive behavioral therapy and has some overlap in its most basic principle which is acceptance. Mindfulness teaches us how to slow down and be more present in the here and now rather then dwelling in the past and projecting into the future.

Mindfulness also encourages people to mine for resources that already exist in our psyche and hearts but has been buried and repressed due to trauma and toxic messages in our society. Compassion for self and others is the vehicle which shepherds us closer to “The One that Knows” which is your inner self who is much wiser, kinder and stronger that you realize.

Through short meditations, breathing and study, mindfulness creates a shift in perception that offers vast amounts of relief from physical and mental pain. You will learn to fully experience your thoughts and feelings as a passing weather pattern and embracing simultaneous anguish and beauty that unites us with every other human and creature on this planet.

Mindfulness selflessly gives the gift of learning that attachment to a version of our lives that feels right is in actuality the worst thing for us. Once we can embrace the path we are on and not the path we believe we should be on, we start to learn that ironically, it's struggle and failure that reinforces the foundation of our lives…not things going "our way". And with that realization brings a quieting of the army of negative thoughts that dictate our behavior day-to-day and holds us back from the art of living.
