Compassionate and Holistic Philosophy
Samantha (Sami) Wallshein, RMHCI is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern. She offers affordable therapy at the Boca Raton location. She received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova-Southeastern University, and she completed her clinical internship at a school for neurodivergent adolescents, where she led a DBT skills group. As a dedicated and knowledgeable mental health counselor, Sami strives to create a safe space that encourages children, teens, and adults to compassionately look within in order to heal; She wholeheartedly believes in addressing the root cause of problems, as opposed to providing temporary solutions.

Sami specializes in working with children, teenagers, and adults who are seeking treatment for anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, trauma, grief/loss, body image concerns, and personality disorders. She is integrative in her therapeutic approach and utilizes a blend of treatments such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Psychodynamic Therapy.

When Sami is not practicing counseling, you can find her cuddling with her cat while reading a good book. Her favorite book is “A Man’s Search For Meaning” by Viktor Frankl. Frankl was a psychiatrist who survived the Holocaust by focusing on creating meaning in his life, even in the bleakest of conditions. This book changed her own personal outlook on life and her career trajectory, as counseling is more than just a job to her. She also loves baking, going to the beach, and exploring new coffee shops in her free time.
